In 1 Samuel 4:21,we see a grieving woman who named her newborn “Ichabod”, saying, “The glory has departed from Israel.” It was not just the loss of a battle that broke her—it was the loss of God’s presence, the Lord’s Ark of the Covenant captured. My brothers and sisters, the question we must ask ourselves today is this: are we living in such a way that would cause Gods’ glory to remain—or to depart? May our hearts be temples that welcome God’s presence, not drive it away.
